Inspired by our studio name (Tora) I wanted to make a tiger girl piece to celebrate our little work space.
As we've moved into autumn, it's inspired me to re-visit this block with a Custom mixed, burnt orange/cinnamon coloured , oil based ink, onto natural cotton canvas with complimentary coloured trim.
Comes ready to hang , no need to frame ✨ also includes a custom made enamel pin to use as a hanging point ( shown in photos )Comes with enamel hanging pin/ pin badge , can be carefully pushed into a plaster wall or wood.
...you might have to get creative on other surfaces !! Possibly blutac into a screw hole etc! Careful not to bend the pin when pressed.
About the process
First the piece is designed then Hand carved into the block.
Then, an oil based ink is rolled onto the block before hand-printing onto cotton canvas.
The pieces are left to dry for around a week or two before sewing the edges to prevent fraying and adding the trim and hanging cord.
Made in small batches

This is a hand made item, there will be imperfections, difference in some inked areas, some will have slight fraying in areas of the fabric...these aren't computer/ipad made prints!
