Located in central leeds, our studio, Tora Tattoo, is a beautiful, comfortable space where we prefer to work by appointment only, so address and further details are given upon confirming appointments.

Booking form and FAQ below.

  • Aim to be well rested before an appointment.

Get a decent breakfast in beforehand, it defintely helps!

Bring along some snacks and sugary drink to keep energy levels up during a session. Tattooing can take up a lot of energy so its good to keep yourself fuelled up…Fruit is also good.

It helps for pain management and healing to be well hydrated leading up to your tattoo.

Give yourself plenty of time when setting off to avoid lateness/stress!

Feel free to bring along headphones, if you need too.

  • For larger projects (Sleeve, leg back piece, torso, bodysuit) i generally work with just one customer for the day.

I’m also happy to work on smaller pieces such as ornamental placements, shorter time slots for more painful areas or if we just need smaller appointment to finish a larger piece off

I usually have designs and ideas prepared in advance, based on customer reference images or agreed upon ideas, ready for appointments on the day.

I draw a lot, so i usually have new ideas and inspiration to work from too.

I also work by freehand (drawing directly onto skin )

  • Unfortunately not.

There have been situations where designs sent out, have been taken and been tattooed by other artists, so its not something i offer anymore.

I will have designs, ideas and inspiration, ready for the day of your appointment.

  • Deposit is paid by Paypal , i will give instructions and info for that during your enquiry.

For payment on the day of your session i take Paypal, Bank transfer and /or Cash.

    I Don’t have a card reader

  • For a new customer i don’t recommend using numb cream first time…you can bring it along and we can discuss it in person at the studio and go form there.

I recommend not using numbing cream for any areas that need outlining as it effects how well the stencils or pen drawings last, which makes my job harder.

It doesn’t always work well with the tattoo, can slow down the tattooing and sometimes make it difficult for your skin to take the ink, it can also effect the healing process.

If you are tempted to use numbing cream, please ask in advance or bring the tube along to your appointment and we can from there.

Theres some unpredictable numbing creams on the market that simply dont work, and some can cause painful reactions.

Frequently asked questions

  • Just fill in the contact form from this website and i will get back to you with info and dates asap.

If its been a while and you havn’t heard back then give me another nudge!

Sometimes emails can get sent through to spam, i do check for them when i can, but life also gets busy, so feel free to remind me you’re interested to get tattooed!

  • Feel free to bring along clothing you can get changed into (we have a seperate WC changing room in the building).

    Shorts if getting legs tattooed.

Back to front zipper hoodies or button up shirts are great for back pieces and torso’s.

Maybe avoid wearing anything that would upset you to ink on!

Sliders and crocs are good for feet tattoos, or just trainers with the laces loose.

  • This is something that comes up regularly and is a completely personal and understandable thing.

We’ve tried our best to make the space comfortable as possible,

We have Privacy screens at the studio which are great for making our work stations into seperate areas where nobody else could easily watch or see.

Winter It’s usually kept warm and we also use heated beds (if preffered) during a session.

Summer we can make it cooler.

We don’t have a publicly accessible shop, so customers can’t just walk in unannounced.

  • Unfortunately not.

If this is an issue, it is possible i can tattoo you at a different location in Leeds at another studio.

  • I generally charge by a fixed day session amount for bigger work…more details on enquiry.

The idea is, this works out best for the customer (for amount of work done and cost) and also allows me to focus on one piece for the day, without clock watching or worrying about running late for the next customer.

I will get back to you upon enquiry with prices..in general i keep things as fair as i can, for reputable tattoo artists in the the Leeds area.

I also charge by hourly rate for session sonly needing 2-3 hours…

Anything else i will set a price for the piece.
