DAN NOAKE
A decade of ongoing tattooing and friendship.
I met Dan in 2015, it was a consultation for him to get his head tattooed. fast forward to 2026 and Were great friends and he’s still getting tattooed by me (not as regularly now, but there's always something to be added) and it’s always a highlight for me.
I put together a small collection of tattooing from over the years. There are many more photos i could include, and i will at some point…. But for now, here are a few that give an overall feel of the journey so far X
First time tattooing Dan. A head piece made around a design he’d roughly sketched out. I remember working a guest spot in Berlin at Blut Und Eisen, Curiosities in Ipswich (to tattoo Dan) and the Brighton tattoo convention within 5 days that week.
These legs were, and still are one of my favourite tattoo’s I've done. They weren't planned and were built up as time went along, piecing together several ideas one after another. Since this photo they look quite different now from the various changes and additions he's had tattooed.
Dan is also a pyrography artist too. I’m lucky to own several pieces by him.
Milestone moment …. Reaching full bodysuit coverage. In photo left arm is by Curly, and the rest is by me(minus a few bits on his right arm).
Some enjoyable trips together to Oxford, to see and get tattooed by Curly. Always a painful but excellent time.
His back was another great project, the idea based around an inverted variation of the the iconic Yap island back tattoo…Again, since these photo’s, it's at a different stage now.
Vincent making sure it's done properly.
XO
Thanks Dan for believing in me and my work over the years! It’s been a true highlight of my tattooing Journey.
I’ll make another write up with some more recent photograph’s in the near future.
