Full dedication!

I first tattooed Becca in 2021, starting a one off lower leg symmetrical piece…Neither of us at that point, had any idea that appointment would be the first of many, ultimately completing her second layer bodysuit……SECOND LAYER BODY SUIT.

She already had/has an incredible collection of work, from some great and influential artists from around the world. But didn’t want to stop getting tattooed, and so set about layering new work over the top….

I was lucky enough to tattoo the majority of that work, alongside a backpiece by Kieran Williams (a personal long-time favorite tattooer of mine) and a few symetrically placed ornamental pieces by Lucia (LUZISBACK on instagram ) another arstist who’s work i admire.

I have respected her tattooing for many years (since i was an apprentice) and she has had a huge influence on the Neo-Traditional tattooing world also owning her respected studio (Jayne Doe) for over a decade.

It still blows my mind looking at these photo’s and taking a moment to reflect on how much work we did. I’m beyond grateful to have had the chance to do this work, for someone who has a become a solid friend.

There was a point in the ongoing sessions, where Becca decided on a full neck blackout. we played with ideas for some negative space details and done the piece in one session…Healed in this photo. Although its simple,its certainly not easy to do,or to sit and get done…I think it might be one of my favourite parts of the work we done.

Healed leg sections, layering over some older existing work. Another chance to use repeating flower motifs which is a subject matter i really enjoy working with…Becca’s open minded approach helped the whole project feel naturally flowing over the course of every session.

The repeating tile pattern on her calf, was the first piece i tattooed on Becca….Eventually growing into full leg sleeves.

Healed photos of the stomach and arm (above) sections, we used complimenting patterns again to bring everything together and create some more consistency throughout.

Since finishing the work, It's been great to have Becca up at our studio to catch up, whilst she also tattoos some of her own clients with us.
